Summary

  • I am a board certified pediatric gastroenterologist with an interest in pediatric inflammatory bowel diseases and outcomes of children with IBD. I also have a focus in population health, advocacy and mentoring for young clinicians. I am involved in improving patient centered care at Dayton Children's Hospital, creating partnerships b/w nursing leaders and physicians/clinicians on the inpatient units, creating unit based dashboards, streamlining and supervising newly created service line structure and representing physicians at the hospital leadership level. I also am the chief medical officer of the hospital's Clinically Integrated Network, and developing partnerships b/w primary care physicians, hospital based specialists and creating a population health platform for improving care and outcomes of children of the Miami Valley at the right cost and efficiencies.

My interest in Quality Improvement stems from my work with children and parents with IBD thru ImproveCareNow Network where I serve in several roles-Physician Leadership Group, Clinical Committee, Co-Chair of Strategy Council, member of Parent Innovation Fund committee, ICN-CCF collaboration committee among others.

I also serve on the research team for two pivotal and central trials thru ICN-the COMBINE trial and the PRODUCE trial-both funded via PCORI.
