Sheena Song DO

Summary

• I graduated from UC Berkeley on the Dean's Honor List with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Passionate about global health and education, I then worked as a teacher in rural China via Teach for China, while also spearheading elementary vision screening projects there. I then attended Touro University College of Osteopathic medicine for my medical degree where I continued to engage the local community with telemedicine diabetic retinopathy screening projects, and later on at a national level as an ARVO Communication Fellow in Washington DC. I completed my ophthalmology residency at St. John's Episcopal hospital in New York and am now furthering my training as a Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery Fellow at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City. My passion lies in global ophthalmology, which so far has taken me on outreach trips to Nicaragua, Guatemala, China, the Philippines, Mongolia, and Ghana. I am passionate about providing compassionate and excellent healthcare for all.
