- Dr. Sheela Saidha is a patient-centered, comprehensive Otolaryngologist with a focus in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. She provides an evidence-based approach to safe and effective patient care. She strives to educate her patients about their conditions and tailor both medical and surgical therapy to the individual.
After graduating from the University of Virginia, Dr. Saidha completed a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. She earned her medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed her residency at the University of Rochester in upstate New York. There she received extensive training and experience in advanced facial plastic surgery techniques including rhinoplasty, skin cancer reconstruction, cosmetic surgery of the face/neck, and complex facial trauma. She aims to provide her patients with natural results and a balanced appearance to the face based on current research and innovative technology. She is warm and caring with exceptional bedside manner and aims to minimize discomfort, side effects and recovery time.
Dr. Saidha developed a passion for medicine after serving as a Spanish translator on a medical mission trip to Costa Rica & Panama. She is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Through the Association of Women Surgeons, she provides ongoing mentorship to young minority females actively pursuing careers in surgery.
