- Dr. Sheel Vatsia has been a cardiac surgeon based in Manhasset, NY for about 30 years now. Having trained at NYU medical center and the NIH in Bethesda he is a member of the Frank C. Spencer Surgical Society and the Andrew G. Morrow Society of Cardiovascular Surgeons. He was also trained in congenital heart surgery at Denver Children's Hospital. He had received his general surgery training at the University Hospital at Stonybrook, NY after obtaining his medical degree from KMC Manipal in India. Dr. Vatsia is an Associate Professor at the Hofstra-Zucker School of Medicine where he is the Director of the cardiothoracic surgical education. He is also actively involved in resident training and education. He has led several cardiac surgical charity missions to Asia and South America.
