Summary
- I am an DNP practicing in family medicine in my hometown of Sandersville Georgia. I am interested in providing treatment of disease and promoting overall health and well being for patients in underserved communities. My areas of interest are primary care, maternal mortality, mental illness, and heart disease. I am a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. My mission is to diminish disparities in healthcare and prevent marginalization of those without healthcare coverage. I graduated with my dual Doctorate/MPH from Johns Hopkins University. My goals include improving community understanding of healthcare utilization while working to reduce barriers that impede timely patient access to care. The key is to address patient needs in the communities where people live, work, and play.
utilization. utilization. access utilization. My doctoral dissertation and MPH capstone involved reducing non- emergent ED visits and improving patient enrollment in the PCMH with the aim of reducing healthcare spending and improving continuity of care and population health outcomes.
