Summary
- Scott W. Strenger, MD, MMM, FACS, FAANS, CPE received his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School in 1982. He completed his general surgical residency year and neurosurgical residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York where he was Chief Resident and was awarded the Association of Attending Staff/Bella Trachtenberg Award for House Staff Excellence in 1988. In 2002, Dr. Strenger received a Master of Medical Management degree from the Department of Health Systems Management, Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Dr. Strenger is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and was awarded Fellowship status in the American College of Surgeons, and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Strenger has held the positions of Medical Director, Shore Memorial Hospital Neurosciences Center from 2004-2011, Medical Staff President, Shore Medical Center (2013 & 2014), and has previously served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery (1997-2002), as well as Director of the Division of Neurosurgery at the Atlanticare Regional Medical Center. In 2001, Dr. Strenger was designated a Certified Physician Executive by the Certifying Commission in Medical Management. Dr. Strenger joined Global Neurosciences Institute in April, 2016. Dr. Strenger served as Director of Neurosurgery, Aria Health System Institute for Neurosciences from April 4, 2016 through March 14, 2018, and is currently an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery, Drexel University College of Medicine. He is a member of the North American Spine Society (NASS), American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, and the American Association for Physician Leadership (previously American College of Physician Executives). A longtime volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, Dr. Strenger is a Council Past President, and is senior medical staff for BSA national events.
