Summary
- I am Chief of Gynecologic Oncology for Geisinger Health System. I am a board-certified, fellowship trained gynecologic oncologist. I am board certified in general obstetrics and gynecology as well as gynecologic oncology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American College of Surgeons. I serve as Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology for Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.
I completed my residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. I then completed a 4 year fellowship program in gynecologic oncology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. I have an extensive research background and hold a doctorate of philosophy degree in physiology. I have written and published numerous peer review journal articles and book chapters.
I have vast expertise in minimally invasive surgery, including robotic surgical techniques. I manage all aspects of both cancerous and noncancerous diseases of the female reproductive system.
I was initially drawn to the surgical aspect of the subspecialty, but it was the comprehensive aspect of women's oncologic health care that inspired me to pursue a career as a gynecologic oncologist. For me, it is both an honor and a privilege to take part in all aspects of a women’s journey from initial diagnosis, through treatment, to survivorship and end of life issues.
I live in Lewisburg, PA with my beautiful wife, Emily and daughter, Mackenzie.
