Summary

  • I am a board certified anesthesiologist and pain medicine specialist at the University of California, Davis. I currently serve as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Program Director for the Pain Medicine Fellowship.

After graduating from medical school at Georgetown University, I spent five years on active duty as a Naval physician. I completed my internship at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. From 2008-2010, I deployed twice to Iraq and Afghanistan with the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing in support of coalition combat operations. I then finished anesthesiology training at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School program followed by a Pain Medicine fellowship at Stanford.

My research interests focus on emerging technologies to treat peripheral neuropathic pain. I am a nationally-recognized expert in the fields of peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS) and ultrasound guidance for pain procedures. I am an author and editor of the textbook "Spinal Cord Stimulation: Percutaneous Implantation Techniques." (2023)
