He is a physiatrist and interventional spine specialist at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as Sports Medicine.
Clinically, Dr. Kreiner’s expertise includes the performance of interventional procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of spine and musculoskeletal pain. He utilizes a thorough history, examination and personally reviews advanced imaging scans to help determine the cause of pain. He uses x-ray or ultrasound to help perform precision-guided injections. He is the Pain Management Physician for the Arizona Cardinals Football Club. He also serves as the Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine Fellowship Director at Barrow Brain and Spine and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Phoenix.
Professionally, Dr. Kreiner has an interest in evidence-based medicine and health policy, currently serving on the board of multiple societies, including the International Pain and Spine Intervention Society (IPSIS) and the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS). He is also currently the First Vice President of the North American Spine Society (NASS).
Dr. Kreiner’s research interests include sports-related injuries, vertebral compression fractures, and interventional spine procedures.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Kreiner delights in spending time with his wife and three children. He spent years coaching baseball and football, and when not busy with these commitments enjoys golfing, mountain biking, snow skiing, and water-skiing.
