Dr. Saraswati Pokharel is a physician-scientist and pathology specialist based in Buffalo, NY, with subspecialties in cytopathology, anatomic pathology, and clinical pathology. She obtained her medical degree before pursuing a PhD, followed by pathology residencies at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She then completed a fellowship in cytopathology at the University of Louisville and a thoracic pathology fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Currently a Professor at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, she has extensive experience in oncologic pathology. Her recent publications focus on the cardiotoxic effects of cancer treatments and prognostic biomarkers of cardiovascular disease in cancer survivors.
