Summary
- As a pediatrician in the Division of Primary Care Pediatrics, I love the challenge of caring for children and their families in clinic. My job at Nationwide Children’s Hospital is to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to the diverse population that comes through our doors every day.
I believe that a large part of our mission as healthcare practitioners is keeping patients out of the emergency room and the hospital, helping them to live to their full potential. Injury prevention plays a guiding role in my research, patient advocacy and practice of medicine.
I’m active on social media and television, and work with state and federal legislators to support patients and make sure life-saving health information reaches a wider audience. Getting this information out to families helps make them better advocates for their own children, which saves lives.
When I’m not caring for patients in clinic, I enjoy the constant bustle of running around with my family and cheering my kids on during one of their many sporting activities. I also recharge by getting away to a small lakeside town in Maine every summer. There’s nothing like the sense of focus that comes from exploring off the beaten trail, embracing nature and spending time with family!
