Summary

  • I am the Director of the Sandra & Malcolm Berman Comprehensive Breast Care Center at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. I earned my Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. I completed a general surgery residency at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, where I served as chief resident from 2012-2013. I was voted resident of the year in 2010 and 2012. I then completed a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at Women & Infants Hospital, Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island graduating in 2014. I am board certified in General Surgery. I specialize in all aspects of breast disease, both benign and malignant. I have a special interest in post-mastectomy pain, using trigger point injection techniques taught during my osteopathic training. Injections are easily performed in the office. I am also interested in fertility preservation in pre-menopausal cancer. Special interest in partial breast radiation methods, including intra-operaitve radiation therapy and SAVI brachytherapy. I work closely with community organizations such as American Cancer Society, Hopewell, Susan G. Komen, Red Devils, Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, and others to educate the public regarding breast screening, risk factors, and latest advances in breast cancer treatment. I am currently a member of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBS) and the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO).
