Summary
- Dr. Sanjay Yathiraj was born in Bangalore, India and immigrated to the United States at age six. He grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and attended Kenyon College. While attending Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine he became a National Institute of Health Summer Research Fellow developing an interest in Neurology. At the University of Florida Department of Neurology he completed his residency in Neurology. Thereafter he did a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at the University of Louisville. He is currently a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurology, Diplomate of the ABPN Neuromuscular Medicine, Diplomate of the ABPN Sleep Medicine and Diplomate of ABPN Brain Injury Medicine.He is currently on active medical staff at Blake Medical Center, Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, and Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, FL. His clinical appointments include currently being the Medical Director of the Blake Medical Center Sleep Lab and Lakewood Ranch Hospital Sleep Lab. His academic appointments include being an Assistant Professor of Neurology at LECOM, FL. Throughout his career he has pursed Phase 3 and Phase 4 clinical trials notably in cortical magnetic stimulation, ischemic strokes, dementia, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease and venous thromboembolism. His clinical honors include being selected yearly since 2009 for the “Guide to America’s Top Physicians.”
