- I am a board certified Clinical Neuropsychologist with over 40 years experience in the evaluation and diagnosis of adults with cognitive disorders resulting from brain diseases. My specialty area is cognitive aging and the diseases in the brain that cause cognitive decline and dementia in older adults, including Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal lobar degenerations, Lewy body disease, and others. My clinical expertise is in different types of disorders caused by neurodegenerative diseases, particularly in the early stages of illness. These include primary progressive aphasia, behavioral variant frontotemporal dementia, primary progressive apraxia of speech, posterior cortical atrophy (aka progressive visuospatial dysfunction), amnestic dementia, and stroke syndromes. I also specialize in younger onset dementia.
