- Samuel Sanchez Rivera, MD is a Dermatologist based in Caguas, PR. He completed his medical education at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 2002 as a Magna Cum Laude student, also earning several awards including the Mellado Parsons Award in 1998, the election as third year Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society member in 1999 and the Betances Award in 2002. Dr. Sanchez completed his Transitional Year at the San Juan City Hospital and a Post Doctoral Fellow Research at the Neuro Aids program at the UPR Medical Sciences Campus where he also completed his residency at Dermatology Department, from 2004 to 2007. His clinical experience has a focus on general dermatology and clinical research and the academy. Dr. Sanchez has contributed to various publications in dermatological literature, with three notable ones published in Dermatologic Clinics, Pediatric Dermatology, and JAAD Case Reports. He has been involved in numerous clinical trials, primarily investigating treatments for moderate to severe plaque psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. Dr. Sanchez also is a leader on his medical field serving as President of the Puerto Rico in two occasions and occupying other positions on the Board of directors.
