• Samuel D. Leonard, MD, is a vascular surgeon in the Institute for Cardiovascular Health, a clinical partnership between Ascension Seton and UT Health Austin. Dr. Leonard earned his bachelor’s degree in energy finance from The University of Texas at Austin and his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed a residency in integrated vascular surgery at the McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where he served as chief resident under the tutelage of Dr. Hazim Safi and Dr. Gustavo Oderich.
