• Dr. Samantha Cohen is a developmental behavioral pediatrician in San Diego, CA. She received her medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin in 2008. She completed her pediatric residency training through UC San Diego/Rady Children's Hospital and worked as a general pediatrician for San Ysidro Health center for a few years before going on to complete a developmental-behavioral pediatrics fellowship at the UC Davis MIND Institute. During fellowship, Dr. Cohen developed and ran a research study looking at the effects of yoga on preschool age children with and ADHD symptoms. The results of that study were published in the Journal of Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics in 2018. Since graduating from fellowship Dr. Cohen has worked as a developmental behavioral pediatrician at Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Cohen specializes in assessment, diagnosis, and providing care for children with developmental and/or behavioral differences. Her areas of expertise include autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, developmental delays, and other behavioral health concerns. Dr. Cohen helps patients and their families to optimize developmental and behavioral outcomes while embracing neurodiversity in her approach to care.
