Summary
- Dr. Sam Most is Chief of the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he is also a Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and Plastic Surgery (General). He completed his undergraduate work with High Honors at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, followed by attending Stanford University School of Medicine, where he graduated with Dean’s Honors in Research. He completed residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery as well as his fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle. Following this he was appointed Chief of the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the same institution. He was recruited to lead the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford in 2006.
As an active member of the AAFPRS, Dr. Most had chaired several national meetings, including Aging Face (San Diego) and Rhinoplasty (Chicago). He has chaired the two research committees and served two times on the AAFPRS Board, including Western Region Director, as well as Vice President of Research and Development. He has won multiple awards from the AAFPRS, including the Ben Shuster and Mark Rafaty awards. A long-time fellowship director, he values teaching and mentorship for all young facial plastic surgeons and encourages active roles in the AAFPRS.
Dr. Most is an expert at nasal surgery, including rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, skin cancer reconstruction of the nose, as well as facelift, blepharoplasty and other facial plastic surgery procedures.
