• Cardiothoracic surgeon offering 23 years of postgraduate experience. I was employed (2016-19) as a Consultant Cardiac surgeon at The National Institute of Cardiovascular diseases in Karachi, Pakistan with an objective to upgrade and revamp their Cardiac surgery program (Operating Rooms and ICU) and the Surgical Residency training program which I have very successfully accomplished. This Institute performs over 3000 Cardiac surgery cases per year and has17 Cardiac Surgery trainees at the different level in the residency training program.
  Prior to that for 10 years (1996-2006) I was with Thoracic & Cardiovascular Associates, Inc., in a group of 10 cardiothoracic surgeons. Thereafter, I ventured into solo private practice for 9 years (2006-2015) as the President & owner of Professional Cardiothoracic Surgery, PLLC in Charleston, WV, conducting adult cardiovascular (85%) and Thoracic (15%) surgeries. Over that period of time I conducted approximately 2,500 coronary bypass surgeries and achieved a mortality of 3.09% and also achieved among the nation’s best sternal infection rate, just 0.14%. I was then requested by the cardiologists at the Camden-Clarke hospital in Parkersburg WV to support their Cardiac surgery program which I along with my group help established in 2004. I did Cardiac surgeries there as a locum tenets for over a year till August 2016.
  I specialize in high-risk combined & complex cardiac surgery and excel in Redo cardiac surgery, Aortic dissection surgery, implantation of Impella LVAD device, left ventricular remodeling and valve repairs /replacement. My expertise also includes Carotid surgery, AICD & Pacemaker implantation & implantation of IVC filter, Vascath and Portacath. I am also heavily invested in the Intensive care management of my patients.
  I envision taking a leading role in which I can deliver top-quality care to high-risk cardiac surgical patients with complex pathology.
