• Dr. Ryan Wagner is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Houston and Cypress, Texas. He specializes in hand surgery, cancer reconstruction, microsurgery, and trauma reconstruction.
  
  Dr. Wagner attended Baylor College of Medicine for medical school where he was elected to the prestigious AOA Medical Society and graduated with Honors. He then stayed at Baylor College of Medicine to complete the Integrated Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency Program. There he trained at top hospitals including MD Anderson Cancer Center, Texas Children’s Hospital, and Houston Methodist Hospital as well as the level 1 trauma hospital, Ben Taub.
  
  Dr. Wagner furthered his surgical training with the Hand & Upper Extremity Fellowship at the University of Virginia. Working with both plastic and orthopedic surgeons broadened his practice and provided an expanded perspective on management. He then traveled overseas to Australia to complete the Microsurgery and Complex Reconstruction Fellowship at St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, an internationally recognized microsurgery and research institute.
  
  Dr. Wagner has many interests within plastic surgery including cancer and trauma reconstruction, upper extremity surgery, hand and wrist fractures, peripheral nerve surgery, and breast surgery.
  
  He also is passionate about both research and education. He has authored over 30 peer reviewed publications and book chapters in the top plastic surgery journals and has received a grant for his work on social determinants of health in hand surgery. Dr. Wagner has been recognized with both teaching and research awards.
  
  Dr. Wagner strives to provide individualized treatment within an informative and compassionate environment to help each patient meet their goals. Outside of medicine Dr. Wagner enjoys spending time with his family, fly fishing, golfing, and traveling.
