Summary
- The aim of SurgeonIDEAS, LLC (www.surgeonideas.com) is inspired by what I have learned throughout my neurosurgical residency: that seldom any more are ideas new; however, the timing of an idea always is.
The process is further complicated by novel technology such as additive manufacturing and 3D printing; intellectual property and patent submissions; computer or application development and programing; and aesthetics and graphic design.
At SurgeonIDEAS, LLC we aim to simplify the process of taking a bright idea to market! We have successfully taken many of our own ideas and understand the difficulties, road blocks, and problem-solving.
We run www.brainandspineschool.com (@BrainAndSpineEd) which is comprehensive resource for exam preparation and clinical topics in fields such as neurosurgery, neurology, pathology, radiology, and orthopedics.
Our latest IOS app has just been released: RVSL (http://www.surgeonideas.com/rvslsupport)! RVSL is an acronym for Reversal. RVSL provides a comprehensive, evidence-based review of old and novel anticoagulants and anti-platelet agents with pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics profiles, monitoring strategies, management plans for reversal, and references. Management strategies for acquired bleeding disorders are also reviewed.
Our newest development is the now patent-pending Align Cervical Collar. The Align Cervical Collar is the first orthotic to utilize a patient’s CT and/or MRI scan to create a 3-D printed, custom 3-piece design specific to that patient’s anthropometry with unique fixation points that results in maintained immobilization in optimal alignment.
We also offer practice building, systems engineering, rapid prototyping, patent submissions, and other medical education developments!
My goal is to help bring bright ideas to market in the surgical specialties!
