- Ryan A. Mlynarek is a fellowship-trained specialist in sports medicine with a primary focus on cartilage preservation and restoration in the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee. His practice is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of sports and trauma-related orthopaedic injuries. He specializes in minimally-invasive arthroscopic (camera-based) and open surgery in non-arthritic joints to maximize patient mobility, performance and joint preservation to help them return to an active lifestyle.
He has a broad range of both clinical and basic science research interests including the development of a sports medicine clinical outcomes registry for ACL reconstruction and hip arthroscopy for the treatment of FAI and labral tears.
He has experience taking care of professional (New York Rangers (NHL) and New York Liberty (WNBA)), collegiate (University of Michigan Football, Basketball and Lacrosse; Eastern Michigan University Football), and recreational athletes of all ages.
