Russell Nord, MD, is an Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Fremont, CA, who is board certified in both Orthopaedic Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine. His education includes a Fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine from Stanford University, a Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital / Hospital for Joint Diseases, where he served as Executive Chief Resident, an MD from Cornell University Weill Medical College, where he was elected to the AOA medical honor society, and a B.S. in Biology from Duke University, where he graduated summa cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Nord specializes in sports medicine, knee and shoulder arthroscopy, arthritis and total knee, hip and shoulder replacement. He has been published in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and the Bulletin of the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases and looks forward to treating patients of all ages and activity levels. Recently, Dr. Nord has served as President of the California Orthopaedic Association, the Chair of the Department of Surgery at Washington Hospital, Chair of the Orthopaedic Surgery Section at Washington Hospital and is currently the Chair of the Specialty Delegation at the California Medical Association and the Medical Direction of Washington Sports Medicine.
