Summary
- I am a board certified, hospital-based pathologist and serve as Medical Director over three large acute care hospitals. I enjoy complex surgical cases, frozen sections, performing and reading bone marrows, cytology and hospital laboratory administration. I have an interest in pediatric and genitourinary pathology and have experience with regulatory and accreditation of laboratory operations (CLIA, CAP, TJC, FDA).
I am engaged in laboratory management through trends in transfusion medicine, coagulation and resource utilization and hold in high regard collaborative partnerships with physicians, process improvement and serve on hospital committees.
I am involved in the county and the Texas Medical Association to protect the practice of medicine, promote patient safety and encourage cooperation between hospitals, physicians and the legislature.
