Summary
- I am grateful for diverse experiences in my career to date. In my residency, I participated in the University of Colorado Hospitalist Training Program which solidified my interest in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. As an academic hospitalist at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, I embraced clinician educator opportunities including Teaching Scholars Program and Academic Hospitalist Academy. My interest in provider well-being led to a leadership role in the Department of Medicine Wellness Committee, where I facilitated workshops for faculty and staff on Human-Centered Design Thinking as a way to brainstorm solutions to physician burnout.
I pivoted to community-based primary care with my move to Tucson, Arizona and I have found my passion in transitions of care and electronic health record (EHR) efficiency. After over two years in primary care, I became the lead provider for TMCOne Today, which is a same-day telehealth clinic nestled within my primary care practice. Our clinic has decreased EHR task burden for PCPs and has improved access to care for our aging and clinically complex population.
