Summary
- I am a board certified dermatopathologist with special interest in Spitz nevi, Spitzoid malignant melanomas, and Atypical Spitzoid neoplasms. My latest research incorporates a new and very promising method of studying melanocytic lesions - Mass Spectrometry. Our study in Mass Spec was able to differentiate Spitz nevi from Spitzoid melanomas based on proteomic differences. In 2008 I founded the Yale Spitzoid Neoplasm Repository with more than 3,000 specimens including many from other countries. I offer consultation services and ancillary mass spectrometry study on difficult melanocytic lesions, particularly Spitzoid.
