Ross Frederick Goldberg MD FACS

Summary

• Dr. Ross Goldberg, a board-certified General Surgeon, is currently the Chief of Perioperative Services at the Jackson Health System, Medical Director of Perioperative Services at Jackson Memorial Hospital, and an Affiliate Professor of Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, FL. He also remains a Professor of Surgery with tenure at Creighton University School of Medicine.
  
  His current clinical practice in Miami is in Acute Care Surgery, while previously during his tenure in Phoenix his practice included general surgery, hepatobiliary, foregut, endoscopy, acute care surgery, and minimally invasive surgery (including robotics).
  
  He obtained his Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College, completed his General Surgery residency between St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Center in Manhattan, NY, and the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University/TJUH in Philadelphia, PA. He completed a NIH-funded T32 surgical research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital during his residency, and completed a Minimally Invasive Surgery fellowship at Mayo Clinic - Florida.
  
  His areas of experience include health policy & advocacy, minimally invasive surgery, and general/gastrointestinal surgery. He has authored several publications, most recently focusing on surgical health policy and the surgeon's role in the opioid crisis. Dr. Goldberg holds the title of Fellow (FACS) from the American College of Surgeons.
