Dr. Ronald Gibbs is an obstetrician/gynecologist/maternal fetal medicine specialist in Palo Alto, CA . He is no longer in active clinical practice but teaches and investigates at Stanford University. He received his medical degree from Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 1969. He has expertise in maternal-fetal infections and has been on the boards of ABOG, SMFM, and SRM. He has been President of The Infectious Diseases Society for Obstetrics and Gynecology,The American Gynecologic and Obstetric Society, The Colo Ob-Gyn Society, and American Gynecologic Club. He is also an avid medical historian and has published two historical novels with medical themes and several historical articles about cartography and the American Revolution. He has more than 200 publications.
