• Experience and achievements in driving quality and excellence as a Cardiothoracic Surgeon and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) leader in various healthcare environments, including hospitals, private clinical practice, and acute and critical care settings. Comfortable, effective, and persuasive speaking to diverse groups of healthcare professionals including: physicians, nursing, allied healthcare team members, healthcare IT professionals, and healthcare executives.
  
  Focused on the delivery of high quality outcomes for the surgical treatment of adult acquired cardiac disease since 1988, with particular interest in implementing evidence based practices, monitoring progress through the application of risk stratification analysis to measure improvement in the clinical process. This includes the impact of team interactions, the use of safety tools, and crew resource management approaches to continuous quality improvement.
  
  On staff at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center practicing cardiothoracic surgery since 1992. Experience in multiple organizational structures: partner in private practice, hospital based practice (employed), and the military (operating experience in multiple environments on three continents).
