In addition to his full-time clinical practice, Dr. Segurola dedicates time to research, participating in leading-edge clinical trials of pharmaceuticals and devices. His articles have been published in prestigious medical journals, and he has contributed book chapters to different published works.
Dr. Segurola has presented lectures to medical professionals and societies around the world, including the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation. He is also an active member of the National Spokesperson Panel for the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. He is leading the Jackson Heart Institute, which brings together two of the most trusted names in the community to form Miami’s most comprehensive heart team.
