Summary
- I study mitochondrial quality control and its role in the heart's response to ischemic injury. Mitochondrial quality control comprises mitochondrial biogenesis, dynamics, mitophagy, and individual protein homeostatic mechanisms, but my focus is primarily on mitophagy and biogenesis.
