Summary

Dr. Robert “Bud” Thompson began his medical training in 1980 and has been in active surgical practice since 1990. He was a “Top Doc” in The Texas Medical Center in Houston from that time until 2013 when he moved to the Austin area and became affiliated with Austin Regional Clinic and Seton Medical Center Hays. Throughout his lengthy career he has been an early adopter of new technology as it becomes available. He currently sees patients in The Medical Office Building on the Seton Hospital Campus and the ARC Clinic in Kyle. He is also the full-time Medical Director of Surgery at Seton Medical Center Hays in Kyle. He has been Board Certified in General Surgery since 1991.
