- After a career in anesthesiology with a focus on high risk obstetric care and on cardiothoracic anesthesia, I am now retired and working in volunteer roles. I lead Guatemala Surgery, a group of clinicians providing surgical care in central Guatemala for three weeks each year for nearly 30 years. I'm also working with a Twin Cities nonprofit as a qualified neutral facilitative mediator for community and family conflict.
