- Dr. Robert Casanova is a Clinical Learning Environment Review (CLER) Field Representative for the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Prior to joining the ACGME, Dr. Casanova was the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program Director at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX as well as Assistant Dean for Clinical Sciences Curriculum, leading the development and opening of a new medical school campus that accommodates 30 students.
Dr. Casanova earned his master degree in health professions education from the University of Illinois, Chicago, his Doctorate from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center Southwestern Medical School in Texas, and did his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas. Before starting his academic career, he was in private practice in Austin, TX.
He currently lives in New Orleans, LA.
