Summary
- Dr. Robert Bowman grew up "family" in a family practice clinic where his mom was an RN. He completed Baylor College of Medicine in 1980 and residency at Waco Family Medicine in 1983. He did rural practice in Oklahoma for 4 years and directed rural medical education efforts at East Tennessee and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. During this time he served in national and international rural medical education leadership roles as a director and editor. He directed small groups and clinical skills at the Community Health Center training model at A.T. Still University, School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona from 2008-2014. Dr. Bowman developed primary care and basic health access measuring tools revealing little hope for primary care recovery or basic health access for most Americans most behind. The worst public and private plans concentrated together are a fatal flaw too much to overcome by expansions of the worst plans or by any training intervention. He has received a number of service, medical education, and research awards and recognitions
