- Robert E. Booth, Jr., MD, is the world's most experienced Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) surgeon. He has performed more TKA surgeries in the United States over the past 15 years, along with more TKA replacement surgeries annually, than any other U.S. surgeon. Among the world's leaders in knee replacement, Dr. Booth has helped thousands of people regain freedom of movement and reclaim their active lives. His expertise, combined with his dedication and accessibility to his patients, makes him an unsurpassed leader in the field. Devoted to further evolving the field of orthopaedics, Dr. Booth continues to innovate, developing new and better surgical advancements designed to improve the lives of his patients. Dr. Booth graduated Magna Cum Laude from Princeton University, and his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed his internship and general surgical residency at Pennsylvania Hospital, his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and a fellowship in orthopaedic research, also at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Booth is a past president of the Knee Society, and is a four-time winner of their prize for research. He is also co-designer of five TKA systems over a 20-year period, and is an internationally known speaker and educator.
