- Dr. Robert Blank is a Sydney-based physician-scientist specializing in metabolic bone disease and mobility. He completed his medical and graduate education at the New York University School of Medicine. He received his training in internal medicine and endocrinology at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and postgraduate research training at the Rockefeller University. He is currently a visiting scientist at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and professor emeritus of medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he served as chief of endocrinology from 2013-2018. His current work is focused on estimation of fracture risk, fracture outcomes, and optimal care for primary and secondary fracture prevention. Dr. Blank holds editorial roles in multiple professional journals and is active in international efforts to promote musculoskeletal health.
