  • Dr. Rossi-Foulkes completed her residency training in 1993 and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. She is a Professor of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai Health Systems in Los Angeles, CA where she directs the Primary Care Residency Track for Internal Medicine. At the University of Chicago Medicine (UCM), she was the Program Director of the combined Medicine –Pediatrics Residency from 2006-2022. Dr. Rossi-Foulkes has a strong record of accomplishment in undergraduate and graduate medical education, transition care, program management and residency recruitment. She served on the Illinois Immunization Advisory Committee from 2005-2018. She is the current Immediate Past President of the Med Peds Program Directors Association and won the inaugural UCM Program Director of the Year award at the University of Chicago in 2017. In 2018 she was inducted as Senior Faculty into the Bucksbaum Institute for the Doctor Patient Relationship. In 2019, she received the UCM Distinguished Leader in Community Service and Advocacy Senior Award. She has published original research regarding transition care, graduate medical education, Marfan Syndrome, and pertussis prevention. She founded and directed Med-Peds PATHways (Program for Adolescent and Adult Transition to Health), an ambulatory and inpatient consultation service for adolescents and young adults with chronic disease or special health care needs. She is especially passionate about and skilled in primary care education and program management.
