Summary

  • I am a physician that specializes in health care consulting in information technology at major hospital systems. My aim is to get all physicians up to date with the most current technology so they can provide the best patient care. I also work with hospital executives to ensure they are efficiently using their resources so they can continue to operate with profitable margins. I have served as lead physician informaticist most recently at INOVA Hospital Group in Virginia, and formerly at MedStar in the D.C. area, and NYCHHC in New York City. Currently, I am the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at TransformativeMed.

My sports’ “career” started at the age of 2 with basketball. After starting all 4 years in high school, I was given the United States Navy Athletic Achievement Award and the United States Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award in 2000. Deciding to focus on medicine, I forgo playing in college, and soon realized I made the right decision after being dunked on by Gilbert Arenas and Richard Jefferson “really hard” at the University of Arizona. Since then, I have been an avid sports’ enthusiast, knowing pretty much everything about the NBA and a self-proclaimed ambassador of Jordan 1’s.

I began my healthcare consulting career in 2012 leading CareerBuilder's healthcare division where I served as Business Development Director, domestically and internationally. I worked with hospitals to help them save money so they could allocate more resources for patient services.

I am active with several non-profit endeavors including advocacy for healthcare for the homeless in Denver and providing school supplies for children in indigenous villages overseas. I also serves as the medical director for Teal Industries, a cannabis based company that creates medical products for patients suffering from seizures to chronic pain.
