Summary

  • After five years of practice as a vascular surgeon, I returned to fellowship for training in trauma and critical care. I now practice trauma surgery and vascular surgery. I have a clinical and academic focus on vascular injury as well as the use of endovascular and hybrid approaches for both vascular and solid organ injury. I am proud to be a part of the Shock Trauma Center team at University of Maryland Medical Center, the only hospital in the country with a division devoted to vascular and endovascular trauma surgery.

I am also the director of the Go Team, the rapid deployment service of the Shock Trauma Center. In collaboration with the Maryland State Police Aviation Command, we provide surgical and resuscitative intervention to the patient in the field as well as en route critical care.

Before joining the faculty at Shock Trauma, I was part of the Division of Vascular Surgery at Maryland. I took care of patients at the University of Maryland Medical Center and also served the practice at the University's Midtown Campus hospital, the Baltimore VA Medical Center, and the Bon Secours Medical Center, for whom the University provided vascular surgical services until 2020.
