- Dr. Ricky R. Kalra takes great care to ensure each patient receives the proper treatment for his or her individual needs. He specializes in all aspects of neurosurgery, including complex scoliosis surgery and minimally invasive spine surgery, cranial surgery, oncological pain management, surgical neuro-oncology, vascular and aneurysm surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, stereotactic radiosurgery, and facial pain syndrome surgery.
Dr. Kalra is originally from Plano, Texas and graduated from Rice University. After completing his medical training at Washington University in Saint Louis, he started his neurosurgery residency at the University of Utah with a special interest in brain tumors and complex scoliosis surgery. Dr. Kalra spent a year researching brain tumors and was nationally recognized for his contributions. He also completed a spine surgery fellowship with training in Germany focusing on minimally invasive approaches to the spine using new technologies.
