Summary

  • I am a residency trained, board certified emergency medicine physician. I served in the United States Army for 11 years (through 2002), including several years as the Chemical Defense Training Facility Medical Response Team Leader at Fort Leonard Wood. I am currently Core Teaching Faculty for the Emergency Medicine Residency at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri.

    In addition to Emergency Medicine, I lecture on a wide array of subjects including medieval and renaissance medicine and surgery, medieval hunting and falconry, 15th century gunpowder and artillery, and 14th - 17th century swordsmanship.

    I am a licensed master falconer, an avid skydiver and motorcyclist.
