Dr. Richard Scott is a pathologist based in Olean, NY, with subspecialties in forensic/autopsy, anatomic pathology, and clinical pathology. He graduated from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in 1985 and completed his residency there in pathology-anatomic and clinical from 1985 to 1989, followed by a fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center from 1989 to 1990. Dr. Scott has been with Olean General Hospital since 1990, serving as a staff pathologist and since 2016, as Chairman of the Department of Pathology and Medical Director of the Clinical Laboratory. He is also the Laboratory Director at Olean Medical Group since 1991 and the Coroner's Physician for Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties since 1990. He has expertise in clinical pathology, surgical pathology, and forensic/autopsy pathology.
