Summary
- I am a board certified pediatric gastroenterologist, physician-scientist with clinical and research focus on inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD: Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis). I study the microbial and epigenetic aspects of IBD pathogenesis, and pursue potential microbiome based therapies, such as fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT). I am the director of the Pediatric IBD Center at Texas Children’s Hospital, and am an active member of the NASPGHAN IBD Committee and the Pediatric IBD Consortium.
