Summary

  • After over 20 years as a department of medicine chair, I have returned home to Alabama. I am an Emeritus Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics from UMMC and an Adjunct Professor at UAB. I continue to work as an academic physician and journal editor with a clinical practice in teaching clinics. My major interest is in fundraising for medical student scholarships and improving diversity, equity and inclusion in our profession.
