Summary
- I am a 4th year medical student at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix driven by advocacy, organization building and innovation. I have a background in biochemistry and Materials Science Engineering.
In medical school, I organized two free international medical trips to provide healthcare to refugees, an asylum medico-legal clinic and a free student clinic that serves undocumented migrants, which I raised $50,000 to fund.
I am interested in becoming a trauma surgeon and providing surgical care in low resource environments. Presently on the Arizona Program for Exploration Medicine and Surgery fellowship steering committee which plans to start an Aerospace medicine fellowship at UA COM- Phoenix in 2023.
I am looking for a residency program that can support my growth in becoming a great surgeon, a leader in organizational advocacy for health equity and pursue research in materials science engineering to move the field of surgery to the edge of what we believe is possible.
