Summary
- Dr. Wynn is semi-retired Professor and immediate-past Vice-Chairman of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Stritch School of Medicine Loyola University-Chicago, Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, and Loyola University Health System, a member of Trinity Health. He has had a long and comprehensive career in academic radiation oncology and organized medicine connecting academics to community practice throughout the country. This all started with his roots as a radiation therapy technologist (BS, RTT).
Prior to his recent career transition, he served many roles as a builder and pioneer of radiation oncology services as well as medical directorships, administrative and operation leadership, including cancer center director.

Prior to arriving to Chicago, Dr. Wynn served as Associate Director of the UPMC CancerCenter Radiation Oncology Network, and a Clinical Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine.
The many honors and awards Dr. Wynn has received include induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society; 2016 Physician of the Year award from the Gateway Medical Society in Pittsburgh; nomination to serve on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Minority Health Advisory Committee; Mississippi Medical and Surgical Association’s 2005 Physician of the Year; and Fellow of the American College of Radiology.
Dr. Wynn earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed a residency in radiation oncology and a fellowship in neuro-radiation oncology at the University of Rochester and completed physician executive training at Harvard University.
