  • Dr. Raquel Hernandez is a general academic pediatrician and health disparities investigator. She received her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and has been in practice for over 15 years. Her clinical specialty is pediatric-obesity medicine and directs the Johns Hopkins All Children's Healthy Weight Initiative-a multi-tiered approach to weight management. She additional leads the Center for Pediatric Health Equity Research where along with other JHACH faculty and experts leads various NIH and other extramural grants targeting pediatric health disparities in the Tampa Bay region.
