Summary
- Dr. Tayal is an Interventional Cardiologist specializing in the treatment of Structural Heart Disease, Complex High Risk Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (CHIP) including chronic total occlusions (CTO), and Advanced Heart Failure. He is involved as a Principle Investigator in several ongoing clinical research and device trials, has authored a number of book chapters, peer reviewed manuscripts, and is considered one of the international authorities on percutaneous axillary access in addition to Complex PCI. He was named a Future Leader of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) in 2014 and serves as a Physician Proctor with Edwards Lifesciences for TAVR and Abiomed for mechanical circulatory support in complex high risk indicated percutaneous interventions. He was selected to be a member of the Vision 2020 Council in 2017, sits on a number of Advisory Committees, named a Young Leader in Interventional Cardiology in 2018 and nominated to be Master Faculty to the Coronary Artery and Myocardial Protected (CAMP) PCI Program in 2020. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, Vascular Ultrasound Interpretation, Interventional Cardiology and is fellowship trained in Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation.
