Dr. Rajiv Datta is a general surgeon located in Valley Stream, NY, specializing in thyroid, endocrine, and surgical oncology. He completed a fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and a surgical residency at Maimonides Medical Center. He also holds a Master's degree in Surgery from Tata Memorial Hospital, University of Bombay. Since 2001, Dr. Datta has served as Chair at Mount Sinai South Nassau, with expertise in esophageal and gastric cancers, and thyroid and parathyroid neoplasms. His research includes publications on neoadjuvant chemotherapy in gastric cancer and surgical site infection reduction, among others. Dr. Datta has been recognized as a New York Super Doctor and has received several honors, including being named a Top Doctor on Long Island. He has been a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for over a decade.
